Lessons
Lessons are given at: Black Horse Cottage, Manor Road, Towersey, THAME, OX9 3QR by Sue Civval (I/me).
Students need to provide their own instrument.
Lessons, normally, will be at a fixed day and time each week, during school terms.
Extra lessons may be arranged during school holidays to prevent long periods without tuition.
Lessons need to run on time to avoid interrupting the flow of other lessons. In the event of any delay or unforeseen cancellation by the student as much notice as practicable should be provided.
Lessons may be re-arranged, subject to a minimum of one week’s prior notice. Thereafter, any lessons missed by the student will be charged as normal. Online lessons are available in the event of any concern about the student's health.
Lessons missed by me, for any reason, will be rearranged at another mutually agreed time.
I am happy to discuss the student’s progress outside lesson times, if required.
Fees
Lessons will be invoiced, and should be paid, in advance for every half-term by cheque or BACS transfer.
Students may, by mutual agreement, be entered for ABRSM or Trinity College examinations when appropriate. The cost of exam entry and providing accompaniment, if required, will be invoiced separately are payable ahead of the examination.
If music, reeds or other ancillary equipment is purchased for the student, the cost will be added to the subsequent invoice.
Termination
Five weeks’ notice is required should the student wish to discontinue lessons.
